A quick homemade poultry seasoning built on garden sage and coriander with a hint of bouillon for depth. Mix in minutes and use on chicken, turkey, stuffing or roasted vegetables.
What You Need
- 2 tbsp dried coriander
- 2 tbsp dried garden sage
- 2 tsp dried chicken bouillon
- 1 tsp cracked black pepper
- 2 tsp pink salt
Method
- Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and mix thoroughly.
- Transfer to a small glass jar or spice container with a tight-fitting lid.
- Label with the date.
- Use freely on chicken, turkey, stuffing, roasted root vegetables or anything that needs a savoury, herby lift.
Tips & Notes
- Garden sage from the garden or from your own dried herbs makes this noticeably better than store-bought dried sage.
- Cracking the black pepper fresh gives more aroma — use a mortar and pestle or the back of a spoon.
- Keeps for up to 6 months in a sealed jar in a cool, dark cupboard.
- Double or triple the batch and keep a jar on the counter — it disappears fast.
