A simple scalp and hair rinse made from simmered rosemary. Rosemary is traditionally used to support scalp circulation and a healthy-looking head of hair, without synthetic fragrances or preservatives.
What You Need
- 1 cup fresh rosemary sprigs (or ¼ cup dried)
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- Optional: a few drops rosemary essential oil for extra strength
Method
- Simmer rosemary in the water, covered, for 15–20 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool completely, then strain out the rosemary.
- Stir in the apple cider vinegar (and rosemary essential oil, if using).
- Pour into a clean spray bottle or jar.
- To use: spritz onto the scalp after showering and massage in (no need to rinse), or use as a final rinse after shampooing.
Tips & Notes
- Massaging the scalp for 2–3 minutes while applying helps boost circulation.
- Store in the refrigerator and use within 1–2 weeks.
- If using the essential oil version, keep it well diluted and avoid direct eye contact.
